A: The width of the shelter when folded up or traveling is 52".
Q: What is the square footage of hunting fishing space?
A: The total square footage of The Complete Shelter (ATV) is approximately 96 square feet. This is based on a Honda Foreman and could be a little larger or smaller based on the size of your ATV.
Q: Do I need to have a closed in trailer to haul this?
A: You do not need to use a closed trailer to haul The Complete Shelter (ATV) or (UTV). We have tested The Complete Shelter many times driving towing at 75 mph on an uncovered trailer with no issues. We recommend that you strap the shelter over the roof and to the foot pegs at high speeds. We also recommend that you remove the clear front and rear windows as they create wind drag on your vehicle. This also helps keep them clean. Always check our fasteners to make sure they are tight.
Q: How strong of wind will the shelter handle?
A: As mentioned, we have tested The Complete Shelter many times driving towing at 75 mph on an uncovered trailer with no issues. We have been out on lakes fishing in 35-40 mph winds without any issues. In fact everyone around us went home and we continued to catch a lot of fish on those days. We were out there one time when the wind blew over a two man shelter with a guy in it and blew him across the lake, but The Complete Shelter held its ground.
Q: What materials are used in the fabric of the shelter?
A: The camo fabric is 600 denier polyester tent fabric that comparable to a 600 thread sheet count and is very good. This keeps it soft and pliable in extreme cold and quiet on windy days.
Q: What material is the roof and front walls made of?
A: The roof front and rear walls are 3/16" thick vacuum molded UV protected ABS. This material gives the shelter not only a great look, but strength without excess steel, saving weight.
Q: What tools do I need to assemble the shelter?
A: All this is needed is a 1/2" wrench for the ATV brackets and a pair of needle nose pliers for the clevis pins. That's it! We made assembly as easy as possible.
